This time we made it a point to make it happen this year because it just so happen to be that it was this one time where all of us were free at the same time, and so we booked our flight out to Vietnam. It was my first time in Vietnam (yay to adding one more country into my "Countries Visited" count) and I couldn't be anymore thrilled to be exploring it with my closest friends.  Image 2: Centre Point Hotel Hanoi  As soon as we landed Hanoi, we headed straight to our hotel Centre Point Hotel Hanoi. Now, if you're looking for a place that easily accessible to amenities, restaurants and even Hanoi's top attractions than this hotel is highly recommended for you - especially if you haven&

5 Things To Do On Your Weekend Getaway to Melaka  Image 1: Melaka, Malaysia  Known to be Malaysia's "Historical City", Melaka is one of those places that you can visit over and over again without getting bored. In fact, Melaka is one of Malaysia's most visited state despite being relatively smaller compared to some of the larger states in the country.  The catchphrase "Don't Mess with Melaka" then fits perfectly in this context. There's really no place quite like Melaka with its  heritage buildings, distinctive delicacies and rich history makes it a truly irresistible destination.  Located a near 122km away from Kuala Lumpur, an overnight trip would ensure you ample amount of time to explore this ancient city. The drive from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka would take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours max depending on the traffic condition.  Here's a list of 5 things you can do while on your weekend getaway in Melaka:  1.                         High Tea @ The Orchid Conservatory  Image 1: The Orchid Conservatory The Orchid Conservatory, The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur A Saturday afternoon after a long week called for a self-treat at Majestic Hotel for a fancy afternoon high-tea. The Orchid Conservatory has long been one that I've been meaning for the longest time. Now for those who wish to hop in on the high-tea experience here, it is advisable for you to make reservations at least one month prior to your preferable dates as this place is always fully booked due to its limited tables!  The High Tea experience here at The Orchid Conservatory is also a little to the pricey side as its the only Orchid Conservatory tea lounge in Malaysia! If you're looking for an one of a kind experience then this is the place for you. Who wouldn't want to sip on some hot tea in a room full of beautiful orchids?  Price:  Weekdays - RM110 per adult  Weekends - RM120 per adult  *pri

Sekinchan, Kuala Selangor

Image
1-Day Trip to Sekinchan, Kuala Selangor                                    An impromptu road trip with the family on a Public Holiday brought us to a small town named Sekinchan. Sekinchan? Now I'm pretty sure that not many of you are aware of this small town located in Kuala Selangor - roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur.  Sekinchan was actually one of those trips that turned out to be surprisingly fun and informative, one of those trips that ends up better than expected. Despite being a pretty small and remote town with limited amenities, Sekinchan had so much to offer and see. Since the town is relatively small in size, all its attractions are just minutes away from one another.  In fact, a day trip to this quaint town is more than enough to cover all its main hot spots. However, if you feel like slowing down your pace and really get a feel of the town without being in a rush, there are plenty of places to stay overnight in Sekinchan.

Paris, France

It all started with a delay in getting our Canadian visa approved in time to book our flights to Canada, so my mum ended up cancelling the whole trip and made changes to visit Europe instead.  Our first stop - Paris. Paris was definitely one of the top cities to visit in my list as a child. Growing up, I'd always thought of how amazing it would feel to wake up in a city as beautiful as Paris and when I got there, my imaginations did not fail to be proven in reality. Paris is just as astonishing as how I'd picture it, if not better.  Paris was still a little chilly during the summer. Temperatures would go as low as 16 degrees (yes, my tolerance to the cold isn't exactly great - I come from a tropical country!) How
