So, it was the Chinese New Year holidays and my mum wanted to a plan a family getaway to a destination that wasn't too far since my dad couldn't take a long leave from his work. A few weeks prior to the trip, she kept suggesting Hanoi as the ideal destination at the time since we could only go for a 5 days-trip.  For a long time, that was the agreement. However, my dad being my dad didn't really like the idea of going to Hanoi since (to him), the city was not really his cup of tea. Hence, our super extremely last minute change of destination (I'm talking about just a week before we fly off), we ended up in Taipei.  Image 2: Ximending Shopping District, Taipei Image 3: Street vendors @ Ximending Shopping District, Taipei Hones

Initially, it was suppose to be a trip for myself and my sisters but eventually everyone hopped on the bandwagon for a short retreat during labour's day weekend. Initiated by my sister who has a love for SouthEast Asia and all that is has to offer, she suggested Cambodia to visit one of the World's Ancient Wonders - Angkor Wat. Greeted with a warm welcome as soon as we landed the airport, Siem Reap and its people are some of the friendliest and down-to-earth people you'll ever meet, not to mention very helpful and resourceful. Siem Reap is a popular resort town and a gateway to the Angkor region. Once a quaint village, Siem Reap has evolved to be the largest "it" town in Cambodia.  Image 2: Our hotel room @ Pavilion Indochine Boutique Hotel, Siem Reap Image 3: Pool view @ Pavilion Indochine Bo

This time, it was a small treat from my parents since I was stressing out for my final year (at the time) and was in desperate need for a retreat away from my workload. Honestly, my family has been to Australia countless of times, yet we always come back again for some odd reason - but this time we decided to see what Western Australia has to offer.  So, it was just my parents and I for this trip since my siblings were all mostly busy. Located roughly 5 hours away from Malaysia by plane, Perth is the capital and the largest city of Western Australia. If I could describe Perth in one word it would be "mellow", just because of its naturally calm environment, low-rise buildings, homey residential

Thailand

Just a month prior to the trip, my sister asked me if I wanted to join her and her friend on a trip to Krabi for a very fun-filled island 3-days getaway. Me being me, I most definitely could not turn down a vacation invite - not only that, this was also my first visit to Thailand! (Yes, everyone always asks me why I have yet to make my way there when its just the neighbouring country of Malaysia - I have no idea why too). Well, at least I can finally say I've made it to Thailand now! Image 2: Krabi River, Krabi So, our first stop was to our guesthouse once we landed in Krabi to check-in and rest for a bit. The guesthouse we lodged at for our 3 nights 4 days trip was The Tara River located right at the Krabi River and Krabi Town. A very conveniently located guesthouse and highly r
